April 13-May 11: SHE KILLS MONSTERS

Jacqui Dupré Jordan Clark, and Kaitee Tredway

She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen
Produced by Company One, Directed by Shira Milikowsky
Opens Saturday, April 13 and runs through Saturday, May 11 at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Theatre.
Tickets are $20-38 ($10-15 for students) and can be purchased here.

After the totally-weird Tilly dies, oh-so-average Agnes doesn’t know what to make of the geekery her sister left behind. In an effort to understand the gulf between them, she embarks on a quest of Tilly’s own design, rife with hostile faeries, randy ogres, awkward high schoolers, and broadswords. Will Agnes discover her inner badass, or will the bugbears get her first? Qui Nguyen, resident playwright of Brooklyn’s Vampire Cowboys theatre, serves up a comedic nerdgasm – an homage to the outcast in all of us.

January 31-February 10: "The Tragical History of Dr. Faustus"

The Tragical History of Dr. Faustus by Christopher Marlowe
Produced by Wax Wings, directed by Lance Norris.
Opens Thursday, January 31st and runs through Sunday, February 10 at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

Also consider supporting our Kickstarter Campaign!

Wax Wings' inspiring and unique interpretation of the classical Dr. Faustus is not to be missed! Set during the 1960s women's liberation movement, Faustus features a mostly-female cast and is performed in the Round at St. Paul's Cathedral.

This is an ensemble piece, thus I'll be playing many roles, including Robin and Gluttony. If you've ever wondered what I would look like as a dirty, pot-smoking, clowning hippie, now is your chance (and directed by Lance Norris, ex-Weekend Update writer for SNL, no less). I've been growing out my armpit hair for months. :)

December 7th-16th: "...Or Dreaming"

...Or Dreaming (Based on August Strindberg's A Dream Play)
Produced by Pariah Theatre Company; Adapted and directed by Tara Brooke Watkins.
Opens Friday, December 7th and runs through December 16th at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy.
Tickets are $20 ($18 for seniors/students), and reservations are required.

2012 marks the centennial of August Strindberg's death, and to celebrate the great work of his life, The Pariah Theatre Company launches one of Strindberg's famed expressionist plays, A Dream Play, in adaptation form. ...Or Dreaming brings audiences into the story of Agnes, daughter of the god Indra, sent down to Earth to understand human suffering.

Unlike typical theatre productions in which the audience sits to watch the play, audiences in Pariah's production will follow the story, room by room. You choose which version you would like to watch, you choose which character's story you want to hear, you choose how long you want to stay.

Through this immersive theatre style, August Strindberg's dream of creating a play in which "characters split, double, multiply, evaporate, condense, dissolve, and merge" comes true. "But one consciousness rules them all: the dreamer's; for him there are no secrets, no inconsistencies, no scruples and no laws."

I will be playing one of three Daughters (or "Agnes" as described above). If you are interested in following my story, I recommend purchasing tickets for a 7:45PM start time (although you will be able to find and follow me regardless of the start time you choose). Tickets are NOT available at the door, so please purchase ahead of time!

Make Sure It's Me is the fictionalized account of five Iraq war veterans with TBI (traumatic brain injury) and is based on months of research and interviews conducted with service members, their families, and medical professionals. On Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 pm ACT ONE (Artist's Collaborative Theatre of New England) will present a reading of Make Sure It's Me at the Portsmouth Public Library (the Levenson Room).

I will be participating in this event, reading the role of Annie, a soldier with traumatic brain injury. Plus, it's free!
